- Location: Sturgis, SD
Accommodations:
- Planning -- You should start planning your trip about 4-5 months in advance (March / April timeframe).

Tips & Advice:
- Laws -- Make sure not to drink & ride, and obey all traffic laws. Especially in Sturgis, where law enforcement is everywhere.
- Wildlife -- Enjoy the beautiful scenery, but be careful of deer, buffalo, and various other critters on the roadways.
- Safety -- Tune up your bike before you head out, and don't go too far between fuel ups. In the Mountain West, you can go long stretches without a gas station.
- Gear -- Bring your helmet, leathers, eye protection, rain gear, and breathable clothing.
- Nearby -- If you have time, try to see Mount Rushmore, Wind Cave National Park, and the Crazy Horse Memorial.
- Merchandise -- On your way in, look out for the South Dakota Office of Highway Safety, as they'll be giving away some free swag. For merchandise at the rally, try to wait until the end of the week for better deals.
